Milestone and Me respects your privacy. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the NDIS Code of Conduct, and the Health Records Act 2001 (Vic) where it applies.
What we collect
When you send an enquiry we collect your name, phone, email, suburb, who the support is for, the services and activities you are interested in, how support may be funded, and anything else you choose to tell us. When you become a client we may collect information needed to deliver safe support, such as goals, routines, communication needs, emergency contacts and NDIS plan details.
How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and arrange a meet and greet
- To plan, deliver and review your supports
- To invoice you, your plan manager or the NDIS
- To meet our legal and reporting obligations
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone outside our business without your consent unless the law requires it. Our support workers only see the information they need to support you. If we use a booking, rostering or payments system to deliver your supports, it only receives the details it needs to do that job.
Storage and security
Enquiries are stored in a secure database managed by a secure cloud hosting provider, with access limited to authorised people. Paper records are kept secure and destroyed when no longer needed.
Website analytics and advertising
We may use tools such as Google Analytics and Meta advertising to understand how people find our website. These tools may use cookies. They do not receive the contents of your enquiry. You can block cookies in your browser settings.
Access and correction
You can ask to see or correct the information we hold about you at any time by contacting us.
Complaints
If you have a concern about privacy, contact us first and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au. For concerns about NDIS supports, contact the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission on 1800 035 544.
